Thomas Greenage Owner
After years of dedication, William's legacy was entrusted to his son, Thomas J. Greenage. From the young age of 8, Thomas worked side by side with his father, absorbing not only the skills but the unwavering values that defined A-1 Electric. William's approach to teaching his son was meticulous, demanding that every task be done the right way, even if it took longer. Through this method, Thomas gained an unshakable work ethic and the expertise that he proudly instills in the A-1 Electric team to this day.

William Greenage Founder
A-1 Electric began in 1955 when William H. Greenage Jr., at just 18 years old, followed his passion for the electrical trade. Coming from a family deeply rooted in various skilled trades — from carpentry and plumbing to painting — William chose to pursue electrical work, a field he felt was the most critical and enduring of them all. He believed that electricity powered the world, and with his expertise, he set out to make his mark in a fast-evolving industry. As one of the first licensed electricians in Pennsylvania, he was a pioneer in the industry. Long before inspections were mandatory, he voluntarily arranged for insurance underwriters to verify his work, ensuring that every project met stringent safety standards. In 2015, William H. Greenage Jr. passed away, leaving behind a tradition of excellence that Thomas continues to uphold.
